UK Accounting Watchdog Raises Concerns Over Big Four's Reliance on Offshore Auditors

The UK's Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has expressed concerns regarding the Big Four accounting firms' increasing reliance on overseas teams for complex audit work, moving beyond routine tasks. The FRC warned firms to 'future-proof' against the risks of offshoring and stated it would monitor how the largest firms manage their 'extended team models' over the next year.
