Creator membership and crowdfunding platform Patreon is laying off 20% of its workforce as part of restructuring efforts to adapt to rapid market changes and reduce costs. CEO Jack Conte stated that AI has fundamentally transformed the tech industry, influencing the company's team organization. Affected employees will receive at least 16 weeks of severance pay, an additional week for every year worked, a $1,500 stipend, and healthcare coverage until the end of 2026.
