Apple and Micron Clash Over Chinese Memory Chip Usage in Trump Administration Lobbying

Apple and Micron Technology are reportedly lobbying the Trump administration with opposing views on the use of Chinese memory chips. Apple seeks permission to use chips from China's ChangXin Memory Technologies and Yangtze Memory Technologies in devices sold outside the U.S., arguing it would alleviate a global memory shortage and limit price increases for consumers. Conversely, Micron, the sole large U.S. memory-chip manufacturer, is advocating against this, warning that it could undermine domestic manufacturing.
