Toyota to Become Equal Shareholder in cellcentric Fuel Cell Joint Venture

Toyota Motor Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire an equal one-third stake in cellcentric, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Daimler Truck AG focused on developing fuel cell systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. This move will make Toyota an equal partner, strengthening the collaboration in hydrogen fuel cell technology for the commercial transport sector. The transaction awaits regulatory approvals and is expected to finalize by early 2027.
