Nasdaq Amends Rules to Shorten Qualification Examination Retake Waiting Periods
The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC has amended its General 4, Rule 1210, Supplementary Material .06 to conform to FINRA Rule 1210, reducing the waiting periods for qualification examination retakes. The waiting period after the first and second failed attempts is now 15 calendar days (down from 30), and after the third and all subsequent failed attempts within a two-year period, it is 60 calendar days (down from 180). This change aims to promote consistency and reduce potential confusion for member firms and their associated persons.
