Valley National Bancorp to Acquire Providence Financial Corporation in Merger Agreement

Valley National Bancorp and Providence Financial Corporation have entered into a definitive Agreement and Plan of Merger. Under the terms of the agreement, Providence Financial Corporation will merge with and into Valley National Bancorp. The announcement was made via a joint press release on August 25, 2026.
