Hitachi Energy to Invest $528 Million in Mississippi Transformer Manufacturing Facility, Creating 654 Jobs

Hitachi Energy, a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., is making its largest U.S. investment to date by expanding its transformer manufacturing factory in Copiah County, Mississippi. The $528 million project will significantly increase production capacity, expand the range of small power transformers manufactured domestically, and create 654 new jobs.
