Paramount closes $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, forming Skydance

Paramount Skydance has completed its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, creating a new media giant named Skydance. The deal, which closed on Tuesday, October 6, combines major franchises like Harry Potter and Mission Impossible and includes dozens of TV networks and streaming services Paramount+ and HBO Max. David Ellison will share oversight as co-CEO with Ynon Kreiz.
