Double stabbing on NYC's Upper West Side investigated as possible hate crime
Two men were stabbed in separate incidents on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Thursday afternoon. A 57-year-old Asian man was stabbed in the back, and a 50-year-old Jewish man was stabbed in the torso. The suspect, Raul Morales, allegedly yelled "Allahu Akbar" during both attacks. Community leaders are calling for the incident to be prosecuted as a hate crime, and the suspect is in custody. Both victims are expected to survive.
