Singapore Police Investigate Xenophobic Comments Regarding Nepal Flood

Singapore police are investigating 'shameful' and 'totally unacceptable' racist and xenophobic comments posted online concerning the Nepal-Tibet flood disaster and Singapore Airlines' investment in Air India. Senior Minister K Shanmugam, who is also Home Affairs Minister, stated on Saturday, September 6, 2026, that he has asked police to look into these comments and that social media platforms would be asked to remove content breaching their guidelines.
