Douglas County Teachers' Union Urges School District to Negotiate First Contract in 13 Years

The Douglas County Federation of Teachers (DCF) is pressing the Douglas County School District Board of Education to begin negotiations for a collective bargaining agreement for the 2026–2027 academic year. This comes after more than 13 years without such an agreement, with the union advocating for stability, teacher recruitment and retention, and better representation for educators and staff.
