Budget cost-saving measures won't affect education ministry's plans, says Fadhlina

Malaysia's Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has assured the public that government cost-saving measures for Budget 2027 will not impact the education ministry's key priorities. These include the recruitment of new teachers, construction of additional classrooms, the Supplementary Food Programme, repairs to dilapidated schools, building maintenance, and the roll-out of the new curriculum next year, or the intake of six-year-olds into Year 1.
