U.S. Departments Announce Grant Competition for History and Civics Education

The U.S. Departments of Education and Labor have introduced the American History and Civics – National Activities Program, a new grant competition. This initiative seeks to improve instruction in American history, civics, government, and geography. Approximately $19.8 million will be awarded to various institutions to provide high-quality professional development and instructional strategies, particularly benefiting low-income and underserved student populations.
