A recent study suggests that relying heavily on artificial intelligence tools can lead to decreased brain engagement and poorer content recall among students. Participants who received more AI assistance exhibited similar language patterns and less ownership over their written work. Furthermore, when subsequently tasked with writing without AI, their cognitive performance was lower than those who never used the tools.
