Education Department Found in Violation of Title IX Injunction

This injunction, issued in 2022 and upheld in 2024, prohibited the department from implementing 2021 guidance that expanded Title IX protections to include sexual orientation and gender identity. An internal investigation revealed that former leadership within the Office for Civil Rights obstructed compliance and potentially attempted to conceal these actions.
