Israeli Teachers' Union Threatens Strike Over Special Education Class Sizes

The Teachers' Union in Israel is threatening a nationwide strike if the Education Ministry does not reduce the number of special education students integrated into regular classrooms. The union asserts that the current integration rates, often exceeding promised limits, place an undue burden on staff and negatively impact learning environments. They claim the Ministry has not upheld an agreement to limit students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to two per class.
