Illinois State Board of Education Adopts Comprehensive Numeracy Plan to Boost Math Performance

The Illinois State Board of Education has formally approved a new statewide plan aimed at enhancing math instruction and improving student math scores across Illinois. Described as a 'first-of-its-kind' framework, the Illinois Comprehensive Numeracy Plan will guide schools and districts in strengthening math teaching and learning, following the success of a similar literacy plan approved in 2024.
