West Virginia Officials Advocate for School Funding Formula Reform

Financial officers from several West Virginia school systems have called on state lawmakers to revise the current school aid funding model. They contend that the existing formula, which heavily relies on student enrollment figures, fails to adequately cover operational costs. Furthermore, it does not sufficiently address the increased expenses associated with educating students with special needs.
