NCAA Division I Implements New Age-Based Eligibility Rules

The NCAA Division I Cabinet has unanimously approved a new age-based eligibility model for student-athletes. This standardized approach will replace existing sport-specific rules and waivers, aiming for full implementation by fall 2027. A transitional period for the 2026-27 incoming class will allow application of the most beneficial rule set.
