California Public School Staff to Gain Paid Pregnancy Leave

Public school employees in California will be eligible for up to 14 weeks of paid pregnancy disability leave starting January 1, 2027. This new policy is the result of extensive advocacy by the California Teachers Association and its members. It represents a significant benefit for educators across the state.
