Texas to Allow Conservative-Favored College Entrance Exam (CLT) for Admissions Consideration

Texas universities can now immediately consider Classic Learning Test (CLT) scores for applicants outside the top-10% automatic admissions window. The state plans to formally approve the CLT by fall 2028 as a new standardized test option for homeschool, private school, or out-of-state applicants, marking a significant change in college admissions policy.
