University of California System Announces Record First-Year Admissions for Fall 2026

The University of California system has reported a record 102,031 first-year California students were offered admission for Fall 2026, marking an increase of 1,458 students from the prior year. While the overall admission rate across the system rose to 78%, UC Berkeley experienced a 4% decrease in admissions for California students.
