Minnesota Enacts New Higher Education Finance and Policy Law, Effective August 1, 2026

A new law in Minnesota, effective today, grants the Office of Higher Education enhanced powers to address fraud, deny student aid for false information, and updates administrative procedures. It also modifies veterans' education programs and mandates high school diplomas for Korean and Vietnam War veterans who did not complete their secondary education.
