Higher Education Associations Urge Department of Education to Retain Title VI Regulatory Framework

The American Council on Education (ACE) and other higher education associations have urged the U.S. Department of Education (ED) to withdraw its proposal to rescind the regulations governing the Title VI International Education Programs and the Fulbright-Hays Program. The groups argue that eliminating the existing framework during a transition of program responsibility to the Department of State would create unnecessary uncertainty and emphasize the need to preserve the clear statutory framework on which institutions rely.
