M. Elizabeth Magill Assumes Role as Dean of Georgetown Law

M. Elizabeth "Liz" Magill officially became the dean of Georgetown Law on August 1, 2026. Magill, an administrative and constitutional law scholar, brings extensive academic leadership experience, including serving as Dean of Stanford Law and Provost at the University of Virginia.
