U.S. Department of Education Ends Tracking of Bullying and Harassment of Transgender and Nonbinary Students

The U.S. Department of Education will no longer collect data on the harassment, bullying, or assaults of transgender or nonbinary students, a rule change approved by the Office of Management and Budget in July. The new policy also alters the definition of rape, omitting 'gender identity' from a list of protected statuses.
