U.S. Department of Education Approves Nation's First Workforce Pell Grant Program in Iowa

The U.S. Department of Education has approved the nation's first Workforce Pell Grant program, allowing eligible students at Iowa Central Community College to use federal Pell Grants for short-term, accredited programs. This initiative, established under the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, aims to expand affordable pathways to careers in high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand industry sectors, starting with an Emergency Medical Technician program.
