NASA Implements New Research Security Training Requirement for Federal Financial Assistance Awards
Effective August 5, 2026, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) requires "covered individuals" on federal financial assistance awards (grants and cooperative agreements) to certify they have completed research security training prior to submitting proposals. This new requirement, outlined in Grant Information Circular (GIC) 26-02, aims to enhance research security and will utilize updated Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support forms.
