Contract bargaining continues between Orange County Public Schools and teachers union amidst budget concerns

Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) and the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association (OCCTA) are continuing contract bargaining after reaching an impasse in April. While OCPS has agreed to a permanent base-salary adjustment of $1,925 for instructional personnel with 10 or more years of experience, teachers are concerned about proposed increases to insurance premiums and deductibles in the tentative Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget. The final budget is pending approval in September.
