Federal Government Targets Universities Over Admissions Bias and Antisemitism Allegations

The U.S. Justice Department has alleged that Duke University School of Law's admissions practices were biased in favor of Black and Hispanic applicants. Separately, the Education Department is investigating San Jose State University and San Francisco State University over alleged failures to respond to antisemitic harassment on their campuses, including reports of hostility towards Jewish students and disruptive anti-Israel protests.
