Chicago Public Schools Further from Adequate Funding, State Data Shows

New data released by the Illinois State Board of Education indicates that Chicago Public Schools are now considered approximately 70% adequately funded, a decrease from 73% last year. This shift affects over 700 school districts in Illinois, despite an overall increase in state K-12 spending to over $9 billion.
