Minority Admissions Up Across UC System, But Not Berkeley; Student Paper Expresses Concern

While minority admissions have increased across the University of California system for the upcoming academic year, UC Berkeley has seen a decline, with Black enrollment dipping 18% and "Latine/Latinx/Chicanx" enrollment dropping 9.8%. The Daily Californian, Berkeley's student newspaper, reports that minority applicants have been "hit hardest" by the school's increasingly selective admissions, which saw only 10.5% of a record-breaking 251,907 applicants admitted.
