Elite Colleges Reinstating SAT and ACT Requirements for Admissions

All eight Ivy League institutions are moving away from COVID-era test-optional policies or plan to do so, with Columbia University announcing the reinstatement of standardized testing requirements for undergraduate applicants starting August 2027. Other top-ranked institutions like MIT and Johns Hopkins University have already returned to requiring SAT or ACT scores.
