Higher Education Groups Advocate for Noncitizen Free Speech Rights in Court

The Presidents' Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration, joined by 91 institutions, filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. They support a lower court ruling protecting noncitizen students and faculty from immigration actions based on their constitutionally protected speech. This action aims to safeguard academic freedom and the free exchange of ideas within higher education.
