Texas Education Freedom Accounts Fund Over 100,000 Students

Texas Comptroller Don Huffines announced that 101,600 students have received funding via the new Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program. This initiative allows parents to use state funds for various approved educational expenses outside public schools, including private tuition and homeschool curriculum. The program has a waitlist of over 100,000 students for the upcoming school year, indicating significant demand for expanded educational choice.
