U.S. Department of Energy's New Conflict of Interest and Commitment Policy Takes Effect

A new final rule from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) creating new Conflict of Interest (COI) and Conflict of Commitment policy requirements for institutions applying for agency funding becomes effective today. Institutions receiving DOE funding are advised to evaluate their existing COI campus policies as this regulation departs from long-standing Public Health Service regulations.
