Texas Governor Abbott Awards Over $2 Million in Grants for Open Educational Resources

Governor Greg Abbott announced more than $2 million in grants to nine Texas higher education institutions to expand free, open educational resources (OER) for students in nursing and workforce training programs. These grants, part of the Open Educational Resource (OER) Grant Program, aim to make education more affordable by providing openly licensed textbooks and course materials.
