U.S. Department of Education Proposes Amendments to General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR)

The Secretary of Education has proposed amendments to the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) and other provisions. These proposed changes aim to update the regulations, align them with other U.S. Department of Education procedures, and incorporate technical updates from the Office of Management and Budget's Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. The Department intends to finalize these regulations in late 2026.
