A proposed rule, 'Fee for Certain H-1B Petitions,' which would require employers to pay an additional $103,265 for every cap-subject H-1B petition, is scheduled for formal publication in the Federal Register today, August 25, 2026. The Presidents' Alliance warns this rule could severely weaken the education-to-workforce pipeline and make the U.S. less attractive to international talent.
