UC Irvine School of Education to Lead $10 Million National Center on AI and Postsecondary Writing

The University of California, Irvine's School of Education received a $10 million, five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences to establish the National Center for Writing Research to Improve Teaching Effectiveness with Generative AI (WRITE AI Center). The center will research how AI can enhance student learning in writing while preserving critical thinking skills.
