Florida Introduces New AI Policies for Colleges and Considers Reducing K-12 Vaccine Requirements

Florida is implementing new education policies, with the Department of Education directing K-12 school districts to integrate artificial intelligence rules into their internet safety guidelines. The State Board of Education is scheduled to review this issue on September 16. Furthermore, Education Commissioner Henry Mack has approved a rule requiring all 28 institutions within the Florida College System to establish AI policies for students, staff, and guests, addressing academic integrity and operational efficiency. Concurrently, the Department of Health has proposed removing Hepatitis B, varicella (chickenpox), Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib), and pneumococcal conjugate vaccines from PreK-12 public school entry requirements, and expanding religious vaccine exemptions to include moral and ethical beliefs.
