Congressman Introduces Bill to Reverse Lowered Student Loan Limits for Graduate and Professional Education

Congressman Shomari C. Figures (AL-02) introduced the "Restoring Opportunity for Advanced Education Act" to reverse provisions in the "One Big Beautiful Bill" that limit federal student loan access for graduate and professional students. The proposed legislation aims to eliminate new annual and aggregate borrowing limits and restore the Grad PLUS loan program, which were significantly reduced or eliminated for incoming students.
