SUNY Chancellor Unveils New Programs to Support Student Basic Needs Across Campuses

SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. has announced new programs to expand student emergency aid across all 64 State University of New York campuses. Funded by the 2026-27 Enacted State Budget, these initiatives aim to help students afford to stay enrolled and complete their studies. Additionally, SUNY will provide "college essentials kits" and increase engagement efforts for foster youth and formerly homeless students, supporting their transition into higher education.
