SUNY Chancellor Announces New Programs to Expand Student Emergency Aid and Support for Vulnerable Students

State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor John B. King Jr. announced new basic needs programs, funded by the 2026-27 state budget, to establish emergency aid grants on all 64 SUNY campuses. These programs will also assist foster youth and formerly homeless students transitioning into college, including providing "college essentials kits."
