Global Financing for Education (GFE) launches income-linked education funding model across ASEAN

Global Financing for Education (GFE) has launched an income-linked education funding model, 'Pay It Forward,' across the ASEAN region, aiming to support 1 million students. This initiative provides upfront funding for education and related costs, with contributions beginning only after graduates achieve a defined stable income level. The model is supported by Waiser, a Singapore-based certified B Corporation, which provides technology, assessment tools, and infrastructure, including AI-powered tools for assessment and education-to-career pathways. The program seeks to address the education financing gap in Southeast Asia.
