New York State Bill Aims to Limit Classroom Screen Time, Promote 'Analog Learning'

A new state bill, the FOCUS Act, introduced by New York State Senator Andrew Gounardes, seeks to significantly limit reliance on screens in classrooms and establish a 'right to analog learning.' The bill has the support of the New York State United Teachers union and is considered the most comprehensive restriction on edtech in the country if passed.
