Landmark Amendments to Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act Signed into Law in the Philippines

The Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM 2) announced the enactment of Republic Act 12325 in the Philippines. This law strengthens the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) by prioritizing financial assistance for poor and disadvantaged learners, expanding support to students in private higher education institutions and technical-vocational institutions, and introducing new safeguards for program implementation.
