Major U.S. School Districts Implement AI Usage Restrictions

New York City Public Schools has banned student-facing AI tools in K-8th grades, while allowing limited approved use for high schoolers. Concurrently, the Los Angeles Unified School District has enacted a one-year moratorium on generative AI use on its devices for all 378,000 students.
