U.S. Ranking on PISA International Test Improves as Other Countries Decline

U.S. students have risen in the rankings on the 2025 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) test, scoring well above average in science and reading, and on par in math with other developed countries. This improvement is largely attributed to other countries' scores deteriorating faster than the U.S. over the last decade, as American students' own PISA scores in math and reading are at or near their lowest levels.
