East Texas A&M University Introduces New Bachelor's Degrees to Address Teacher Shortage

East Texas A&M University (ETAMU) has launched two new competency-based bachelor's degree programs in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. These programs, the first of their kind in Texas, aim to help paraprofessionals and substitute teachers earn certification while working, directly addressing the state's teacher shortage. This initiative could significantly expand the pool of qualified educators.
